Captain Dave is a true Florida native, avid outdoorsman, and licensed and insured Coast Guard captain. As an Army veteran, Captain Dave learned even more about the great outdoors. With a lifetime of outdoor experience, he has a vast amount of knowledge on local wildlife and plants. Captain Dave loves to share Florida’s wildlife with his passengers. Guests feel like they have been on a boat ride with a friend and not a commercial tour.
The Black Pearl was built by Diamondback Airboats of Cocoa Florida and she is the nicest one around. The Pearl is 18 feet long and 8 feet wide, has a Chevy big block engine with 496 cubic inches and 425 horsepower. The Pearl is equipped with aircraft style intercom headsets so you can ask questions during the tour and the captain can tell you where to look for the gators and other animals during the trip. There is stadium style seating so everyone can see. The Black Pearl was designed for added safety, speed and comfort.
